Embedded / staff augmentation engineering
[Draft note for Manuel]: anchored directly in your existing "How I work" copy on Tech Profile ("Embedded with the client's team, in their repository, on their release cadence"; overlapping hours with U.S. time zones; every diff reviewed by a person) — this packages what the site already says you do as its own offering, the way First Factory and Gorilla Logic separate staff augmentation from the rest of their catalog. Confirm the framing matches how you'd actually want to be engaged this way.
Not every engagement needs a separate project with its own scope — sometimes a team just needs another senior engineer, embedded directly in how they already work, for as long as the work requires it.
This is how I already work with clients today: embedded in the client's own repository, on their release cadence, not mine — no separate branch that gets merged in occasionally. Working hours overlap with U.S. time zones, with written updates that outlive the call for anyone not in the room. Every diff goes through review like any other pull request — including AI-assisted work, where a specification comes first and a human reviews what an agent produces before it reaches the main branch.
What this looks like in practice:
- Full access to the team's own tools, standups, and planning — not a black-box vendor relationship.
- Backend, frontend, or fullstack, depending on where the team actually needs depth.
- Scoped for as long as the engagement needs — a specific initiative, a coverage gap, or an ongoing extension of the team.
This is a different shape of engagement than a fixed-scope project (custom software development, modernization, etc.) — it's capacity and seniority added directly to a team that already knows what it needs built, not a separate deliverable handed over at the end.
Need a senior engineer who can embed directly with your team? Let's talk.
