Where the name comes from

"Samara One Code" takes its name from Sámara, a beach in Guanacaste, Costa Rica, where my family has roots. It's a place you go to clear your head, recharge, and hold onto what's good — the natural beauty, the water sports, the people. It's a touristy area, but still genuinely Costa Rican, in how people treat you and how rural it still feels.

That's the energy I wanted to bring into the company. Sámara gives it the place; the "One" reflects a commitment to working with one client at a time, with exclusive, personalized service — the idea of being number one in how we treat clients and in the quality we deliver, not just another vendor. And "Code" is the other half: turning a client's requirements into real, working code, through architecture design and standardization, and building and maintaining applications.

What we do

01TrainingYour team learns to build — and to work with AI — from someone who ships with these tools.
  • 1:1 tutoring in Java, JavaScript/TypeScript, Kotlin, and Swift
  • AI adoption for engineering teams — spec-driven development with Claude, Cursor, and Copilot

02ArchitectureThe decisions that are expensive to reverse, made with someone who has lived with the consequences.
  • Solution architecture for new systems, or a review and audit of what you run today
  • Legacy system modernization — Java EE, abandoned frontend frameworks — without pausing the business

03DeliveryFrom requirements to production, backend and mobile, without duplicating effort across platforms.
  • Custom backend and fullstack development with Java/Spring Boot and Next.js
  • Mobile apps with Expo/React Native, sharing the same backend as your web app
