Kotlin tutoring
KotlinTailored to your level (beginner to advanced)kotlintutoringbackend
We give 1:1 Kotlin tutoring, whether you're coming from Java or starting from scratch.
If you're coming from Java, the hard part isn't the new syntax: it's dropping habits Kotlin makes redundant. An if (x != null) the compiler already handled. A twenty-line class that fits in one. A thread pool where a coroutine would do.
Sessions adapt to where you are today:
- Coming from Java: interoperability between both languages in the same project, and what changes when you design with data classes, sealed classes and extension functions.
- Starting out: fundamentals and idiomatic code from the beginning, without carrying over habits from another language.
- Concurrency with coroutines: the point where the most questions come up when moving from threads to a structured async model. We work through it with code that runs, not diagrams.
Each session is 1:1 and there's no fixed syllabus. Before the first one we ask what you're working on and what's giving you trouble; the plan comes out of that.
What we don't do: convert your project to Kotlin while you watch. You write, we review.
